Hundreds of visitors, including leading experts in science and innovation, have flocked to the Sverdlovsk oblast’s booth at the Technoprom forum and exhibition in Novosibirsk. The display features innovations from the Ural Interregional Research and Educational Center for Advanced Production Technologies and Materials.
Among the highlights, UIREC presented neonatal medical and geodetic equipment produced by the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant named after E.S. Yalamov (UOMZ), part of the Shwabe holding under the State Corporation ROSTEC. This project, aimed at modernizing equipment for neonatal care, is being developed in collaboration with scientists from Ural Federal University (UrFU).
UrFU researchers are also involved in creating the “brain”—a machine vision system—for a robotic arm showcased by the company Axalit-Soft at the regional booth. Nearby, visitors can find samples of scientific products from the Institute of High-Temperature Electrochemistry of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, featuring new ceramic and chemical materials, as well as another UrFU development—a traffic filtering module, or firewall, created for KIT (UDV Group) with support from USSC.
Igor Manzhurov, the Center’s director for development, has already presented these innovations to Novosibirsk Governor Andrey Travnikov, Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education, and Culture Lilia Gumerova, and other guests and speakers at the exhibition.
The International Forum and Exhibition for Technological Development Technoprom is taking place in Novosibirsk from August 27 to 30.
