The main components of the project include:
- Implementation of a closed nuclear fuel cycle based on fast neutron reactors;
- Development of technology and materials for the creation of molten salt reactors;
- Development and organization of production of elements of hydrogen economy;
- Production development and implementation of robotic systems for technological and control operations in hazardous working conditions.
Pyrochemical technologies will be used to implement the concept of a closed nuclear fuel cycle. The new low-carbon nickel alloys produced may be useful in a wide range of aggressive environments (e.g. at elevated temperatures), and can be used in several industries, such as petrochemistry, chemical industry, and chemical engineering, as well as the aerospace industry and engine building.
Green energy solutions will be implemented for local power supply of extended facilities (gas and oil pipelines), including those located in the Arctic zone, for processing local fuels (silt, peat, organic waste, etc.).
Robotic systems solutions for technological and control operations for hazardous working conditions will be applied at the core industries of Rosatom State Corporation, as well as at hazardous and responsible production facilities of Rostec State Corporation and Roskosmos State Corporation.
