Hydraulic fracturing (HF) is one of the most effective and complex methods of oil recovery and increasing the oil and gas flow to the wellhead. The method lies in creating a highly conductive fracture in the target oil reservoir to ensure the flow of oil or gas to the bottom of the well and increase the flow rate of oil wells. It provides a three to four-fold oil recovery of wells. Kurgandormash, AO, is developing software that will be used to monitor the process of hydraulic fracture development and evaluate technological parameters during hydraulic fracturing and the geometric dimensions of the fracture. Currently, enterprises use foreign-made software.
The enterprise intends to supplement the automatic control and analysis system with the function of developing a program and conducting hydraulic fracturing processes in oil and gas production. The development and implementation of such an intelligent system will provide Russia with a stable position in the global oil and gas markets.
At the same time, the Kurgandormash team is carrying out experimental design and technological work to create working units of equipment for hydraulic fracturing. The final stage of the project includes the manufacture of a blender mixing unit, the main and most complex equipment of hydraulic fracturing.
‘A blender mixing unit is one of the complex machines that participate in this process, as it prepares a special mixture that is pumped into the well under pressure to increase the oil recovery of wells. In Russia, there is not a single manufacturer that carries out a full cycle of development, assembly, and production of such machines. Some enterprises partially manufacture individual components and repair them. We decided to change the situation,’ says Andrey Kharlov, deputy chief designer for new equipment at Kurgandormash.
