The Advanced Production Technologies and Materials Ural Interregional Scientific and Educational Center develops environmentally friendly road construction and municipal equipment.
Kurgandormash, AO, is producing environmentally friendly road-building and municipal equipment using electric transmission units for the rolling chassis drive and the drive for attachments. The plant will also organize the production of the required standard sizes of electric transmissions and energy storage devices of sufficient capacity. The development and mastering of road-building and municipal equipment with electric transmission units will reduce the amount of exhaust fumes harmful to the environment and reduce the cost of equipment maintenance for operating services.
Kurgandormash, AO, also plans to produce equipment with an electric drive, which will work in conditions dangerous for humans to eliminate the consequences of human-induced accidents, fires, carry out demining, etc. The operator will control this equipment remotely and perform all operations without exposing themselves or others to any danger, while the electric drive will make it possible to use the equipment in situations impeding the use of machines running on diesel or gasoline.
‘We are already being approached by customers who need this type of transport to work in difficult conditions, where the operator’s work is impossible or where exhaust gas emissions are prohibited, but where electric machines can operate. However, Russia does not produce such machines, which is exactly what makes our project so relevant,’ explains Andrey Kharlov, deputy chief designer of new equipment at Kurgandormash.
