Scientists from South Ural State University are creating the Eco-monitor software package which will be able to track the spread of pollutants in the air. The economic activity of industrial enterprises is associated with the risk of causing harm to the environment. Currently, most enterprises lack operational analysis systems to manage their environmental risks. There are no sensor systems at the sources of emissions and in the zones of influence.
The proposed Eco-monitor complex will solve this problem by creating a monitoring and analysis system that will make it possible to take decisions online and prevent negative consequences. Eco-monitor is meant for practical use and is designed to solve real production problems.
‘Eco-monitor, the complex of environmental monitoring and forecasting makes it possible to visualize the current situation, predict the environmental situation, and carry out automated analysis of data on emissions. The visualization is carried out in real time and takes into account the geographic map of the area. Also, it demonstrates the simulated and predicted surface concentrations of pollutants,’ says project manager Dmitry Drozin.
The Eco-monitor complex helps receive information from automatic emission control systems retrieved from fixed sources and from operators through manual input. The main purpose of the complex is to provide comprehensive information about the environmental situation and its changes in real time and in a convenient form. Thus, the enterprise will be able to manage its negative impact without reducing production.
